Two Sheffield chartered accountants are set for a taste of international football later this summer.

Audit senior Scott Sanderson, aged 28 and audit manager Simon Bladen, 29, both from Sheffield-based independent firm Hawsons, have been selected to play in an international ‘World Cup’ tournament in Holland in September.

They will represent the UK team of HLB International – a worldwide network of independent professional accounting firms and business advisers to which Hawsons belong – against other HLB teams from Denmark, France, Germany, Italy and Netherlands.

Martyn Weatherall, Senior Partner at Hawsons, of Glossop Road, Sheffield, said: “Playing on a world stage is quite an honour and Scott and Simon feel privileged to be chosen. It will be a fantastic experience for them.”
