budget date announced

Chancellor Sajid Javid has announced that the 2019 Budget will take place on 6 November 2019.

The Budget is the government’s annual announcement on its plans for spending and taxation for the upcoming financial year.  It will be Sajid Javid’s first Budget since he became Chancellor in July.

In the event of a no-deal Brexit, it is expected that the full Budget will be delayed by a few weeks and that the 6 November announcement will be a simple economic statement.

Our tax specialists will be watching the Budget and will provide commentary on the announcements.  To pick up on our commentary, follow us on Twitter (@Hawsons) or LinkedIn.
