Two new promotions at Hawsons

The partners are pleased to announce two new promotions in the firm’s Sheffield office. Effective from 1 July 2020 Ben Lomas is promoted from Audit Senior to Audit Manager and Craig Walker from Senior Tax Manager to Tax Director.

Ben trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Hawsons. He joined in 2014 after graduating from The University of Sheffield. During his time at Hawsons, he has gained a range of experience providing audit, accountancy, and taxation services including more specialist work such as SRA Accounts Rules audits. Ben has experience looking after a mixed portfolio of clients including corporate entities, sole traders, partnerships, and organisations within the charity sector.

Craig is a Chartered Tax Advisor and member of the Association of Taxation Technicians. He is highly experienced and has a wealth of knowledge having worked at a large regional firm of Chartered Accountants and a top 20 firm.

Craig provides practical tax advice and support to a wide range of clients and business types. He advises on all matters tax related, both corporate and personal, including income, capital gains and inheritance tax. Craig has extensive knowledge of trusts and estates and is a member of the prestigious Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He is also highly experienced at providing tax advice to international clients and holds the STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients.
