Hawsons Advise on the Acquisition of Monkey Town’s Second UK Site

Electric HGV

Hawsons Corporate Finance team have successfully advised Dutch leisure group, 24 Indoor, on their second UK acquisition for their European indoor playground brand, ‘Monkey Town’. The deal sees 24 Indoor acquire Liverpool-based family play centre, Yellow Sub. This deal increases the UK presence of the Monkey Town brand, following 24 Indoor’s acquisition of Rascals Party & Play Centre in Preston in June 2025.

The Liverpool site will continue operating short-term, before closing in summer 2026 for refurbishment. The site will then re-open as ‘Monkey Town Liverpool’, with the refurbished site featuring themed play areas, food and drink services, and upgraded experiences.

The deal was led by Jack Ware, Corporate Finance Director at Hawsons, with assistance from Stephen Charles, Charlotte Owen and Sidra Ahmad from the Transaction Tax team. Hawsons provided financial tax and due diligence for 24 Indoor, including wider buy-side advisory services.

Jack Ware, Corporate Finance Director at Hawsons, commented:

It was great to work with 24 Indoor once again. Following our support on their first UK acquisition in June 2025, we were delighted to advise on their second acquisition as well. 24 Indoor has an impressive portfolio of brands and, with 80 sites across Europe, we are proud to be part of their continued growth journey in the UK.

The team at 24 Indoor are a pleasure to work with and possess a strong understanding of the sector. We have every confidence that they will make a great success of this latest venture.”

Legal advice for the buy-side of this transaction was provided by MD Law’s James Burdekin, Partner and Corporate Transactions specialist, Lindsey Gaimster, Partner in the Employment Team, and Travis Wood, Senior Associate in Commercial Property.
