All UK-incorporated companies are required to prepare a strategic report, as well as a directors’ report, within their annual report unless they have an exemption. The Companies Act 2006 (Strategic Report and Directors’ Report) Regulations 2013 came into force on 1 October 2014 and apply to financial years ending on or after 30 September 2013.

Our risk based audit approach involves gaining an in depth understanding of your business through regular contact throughout the year, together with the application of detailed planning and risk assessment procedures. The outcome of our discussions and planning conclusions will direct our audit work and help us to identify the material areas of risk on which to focus the audit. In order to avoid an inefficient approach in areas of minimal risk, we review the control environment to build assurances from the systems in place. This enables us to draw conclusions from our risk assessments and give feedback about our observations.
