Overview

In the latest instalment of this very popular annual webinar, we are delighted to announce that we will be joined by Paul Mount, from the Bank of England’s Yorkshire & Humber Agency.

What will we be discussing?

The UK economy is showing modest growth after recovering from a technical recession in the second half of 2023.

However, there continues to be various domestic and international economic headwinds which mean that confidence remains subdued.

Paul will be providing attendees with economic reflections from the past 12 months and updating us with the Bank of England’s latest views on how these will continue to impact us throughout 2024 and beyond.  With impending UK and US elections there’ll certainly be plenty to discuss on the agenda.

Topics of discussion will include:

  • A general economic update
  • How may the geopolitical climate effect the economy moving forward?
  • How could the results of the UK and US elections affect the economy moving forwards?

The talk will last around 30 minutes and there will be an opportunity for Q&A to quiz Paul on the Bank’s latest views.
