After more than 25 years with the firm, Paul Wormald is retiring, bringing to a close an outstanding chapter in both his career and the history of our Doncaster office.

Reflecting on his time with the firm, Paul recalls many memorable moments and valued friendships. Among the highlights were working alongside colleagues such as Richard Marsh, Martin Wilmott, Russ Pagdin and Sean Boyall, whose support helped shape his career.

Away from the office, Paul fondly remembers the firm's mid-week cricket team, which brought together colleagues and clients from both the Doncaster and Sheffield offices. While the competition was always friendly, the Player of the Year award somehow always remained just out of reach for Paul. Annual staff days out also provided many enjoyable memories and opportunities to strengthen relationships across the firm.

Looking back, Paul considers one of his greatest achievements to be playing a part in the transition and growth of the Doncaster office. He takes pride in seeing the firm recognised today as the leading independent accountancy offering in Doncaster, with a strong reputation and bright future ahead.

As he begins his retirement, Paul leaves the business in excellent shape and is confident that its continued success is in safe hands under the leadership of Dan and Kirstie.

Dan Wood, Partner at Hawsons commented, "Paul has been an integral part of our Doncaster office for many years, contributing to its continuing success. His contribution has left a lasting mark on the business and on all of us who’ve had the pleasure of working with him. On behalf of everyone here, I wish Paul a very happy and well-deserved retirement."
